A blinder with a color trick.
A fixture with no color engine, doing the one job a color engine is supposed to do.
Ariana Makau, founder of Nzilani Glass Conservation, used a LOCI 1514 array behind a museum's new stained glass and brought it to life.
As LOCI tracks from warm to cool, it changes the glass — elevating some colors, muting others, animating the stained glass for the viewer. The response to this demonstration reinforced the importance of the backlight in the display of stained glass.
LOCI 1514 belongs on rigs and walls that need output and control, not a color menu. It happens to also belong behind glass no one thought to light this way before.
